The project aims to replace the virtue of “place” for that other of “transit” and in this sense its goal is to empty of “content” the signs of the surrounding preexisting construction to replace it for the “sense” of the signs through an active gaze. The goal is to restore through sculpture, the dynamic quality of the architecture in its most vital expression. The project, without been completely unaware of the contemporary architectural dilemma between the fulfillment of a program and the making of great signs, does not pretend to establish a dialogue with the preexisting architecture but instead to insert some of its functions through an strange element. Therefore the project could be considered an “insertion” instead of an “installation”, something that has to preserve its autonomous identity while being aware of its relationship with the environment.
